The club operates two tiers of membership – Full and Associate; in addition it offers practice/improvers sessions primarily for non- members.

The sessions dedicated to Full Members are on Tuesday and Friday evenings and for Associate Members on Monday evenings. There are two more general sessions on Thursday evenings and Wednesday afternoons.
Practice sessions are held on Tuesday and Thursday mornings and Wednesday evenings.
Visitors are welcome at all sessions unless Trophy Events are taking place; details of these are available on the web-site.

Play at all sessions is in accord with the Laws of Duplicate Bridge as defined by the EBU. Applicants not familiar with these are advised to attend a number of Practice Sessions before making a formal application to join.

Applicants for Full Membership should be playing on Tuesday and Friday evenings and for Associate Membership on Monday evenings with possibly on some Thursday evenings.
Visitors are allowed to attend up to twice a month in any session but more often at the discretion of the Secretary when application for membership is intended.
Visitors are advised to ensure that they sign the visitor’s book at each attendance.

Completed Application Forms will be displayed on the club notice board for at least 14 days before the Committee Meeting that will receive the application. Application Forms must be signed by a proposer and seconder both of at least two years standing in the club. They should be prepared to play with the applicant and introduce him/her to other members of the club.

Successful applicants are expected to have scored an average close to or above 50% over a minimum of 8 attendances at appropriate sessions.

Committee members should not discuss the progress of any application; all enquiries should be directed to the Secretary. You will be notified whether your application is either accepted or refused shortly after the Committee Meeting that received the application. There may be occasions when any decision is deferred, particularly for Associate Membership where vacancies can be scarce due to high demand. In those cases applications will be kept displayed on the notice board.
